So you think you know all about post-rock and math rock, but you don't even own a copy of Spiderland? Underrated in the time of its release and now possibly overrated after the bands death, Spiderland is Slint's most famous and best album. They created the type of dynamic volume and tempo changes that are now popular in bands known for their quiet-loud range (Mogwai) as well as in bands known for their shifts in structure and tempo (Don Cab). The one regret I have about posting this album is that once you have a taste you'll want more, but there's no more to give. Sure I could post Tweez and their self-titled EP, but I think you need to grab those for yourself. This is definitely listening indie-rock, I heavily suggest listening to the whole album in one sitting. You can almost hear the bands rumored insanity inbetween the quiet whispers and yelling prose of the album. Enjoy.Spiderland
