The Ocean - Precambrian

So there's been a shortage of brutal on this blog as of late, and that's my fault I'm afraid (I am the only one who posts metal). To make up for it I'm going to give everyone the option to rock their faces the fuck off. For reals, The Ocean; formerly known as The Ocean Collective don't fuck around. The Ocean fall into some categories between doom and black metal, with some prog and post-metal flavorings. I know that sounds like a lot of bands that are out there but there is an ingredient added to the mix that just can not be ignored when it comes to this record. What that ingredient is, well...I have no clue, but this record is produced so well that its almost a shame not to slap on your best pair of headphones and crank the volume up to max. This is the album that made me interested in metal. Now I know this sucks and all but I did shrink the songs down to a pitiful 128 kbps. You need to buy this album yourself to get the full experience.

There are two albums in this, the first half called Hadean/ Archaean & the second disk Proterozoic. The first is a full onslaught of brutal carnage. The second mixes in breathers of atmospheric interludes--before annihilating you once more. The second song on disk 2 "Rhyacian" is a religious experience. So drown yourself in The Ocean.
