Just picked up the latest release from Lone, which is definitely a continuation of his previous long player, Lemurian. Ecstasy & Friends contains Boards of Canada style, washed-out synths, that are expertly combined with the glitch-hop beat structures that are utilized by artists like Flying Lotus and Hudson Mohawke. Although the new album is very similar to Lemurian in terms of style, Lone fines away to keep the sounds fresh and enjoyable. Beach music for the summer.
