Bohren & Der Club Of Gore create what is best described as 'doom jazz'. Its a special blend of slowly unfolding, bleak and depressing jazz made for lonely and stormy nights. Their previous efforts have been the darkest of their creations, but Dolores seems to let a a sliver of light in. This is the most current and to date, lightest album they have created. Beautiful and thoughtful music. On a slightly humorous note, their inspiration is taken from grindcore, death, and doom metal. So I guess this could be called jazz for extremely slow doom metal fans.
