Ripped with Apple Lossless Encoder this is obviously a special post. I rarely will take the time or effort to put up lossless sized files up because I just don't have the patience to upload over 400mb. But here's a special treat for any of the metal fans that read this blog. One of the simplest ways to explain Burst's high energy blend of progressive metal is to compare them to The Ocean [Germany]. And as you should all know from my previous posts, I fucking love The Ocean. You won't find the aquatic themes or as much folk or post-rock influences in this album though. Here, Burst offers a mix of prog-hardcore-post-metal that is absolutely crushing. This album comes at you with a fierce intensity and knows just when to halt the onslaught to let a gasp of air in through the wall of thrashing guitars. Highly recommended for those who were into The Ocean album. Note though this audio codec will only play in iTunes so if you are using WMP you are SOL. Enjoy.

PS. Also note that because this was ripped at lossless (meaning kbps over 900 so no audio information is lost in the import, resulting in a pure uncompressed format) that the file size is huge, almost half a Gb, so have patience when downloading.
