Being the only person (that I know of) that listens to this type of stuff and contributes to this blog, I feel obligated to share it. This is one of the most crushingly heavy doom/sludge metal bands out, though they are now defunct. Similar to Eyehategod, but much more produced. Instrumentation sometimes sounds like Pelican, but can normally be likened more to Bongripper.
Migration is a three-part album that many hail as the heaviest album ever recorded. Ghost is a one-track 30 minute descent, at times sounding somewhat reminiscent of stoner doom metal band Electric Wizard, but always coming back to the crushingly heavy formula they're known for.
